Q - When did you join roblox?

A - End 2008, Yannick10 is my second or thirth account. (I never remembered my names, so I created new accounts all the time.)

Q - When did you start foruming?

A - I started foruming in RT in late 2012, I got 2K posts there and then moved to ATR when the mods created it.

Q - How did you start foruming, Like who encouraged you to?

A - I encouraged myself. The games on ROBLOX got boring and I decided to try out the forums.

Q - How did you find roblox

A - One of my friends showed me.

Q - Besides foruming, What is your next game?

A - I play Hal o: Reach a lot. I also like to play PlanetSide 2. But normaly I build on ROBLOX.

Q. How did you come up with finding bigfoot?

A. I saw a show while flipping through channels that was actually called, 'Finding Bigfoot," when I thought of the name. The game its self is in no way related to the show. In the game you go through a series of towns and caves that lead you into finding Bigfoot in the game. I never really watched the show, but what I do know is that they investigate a certain area for signs of the creature. So you can say the game and the show both search for answers, but the game play its self is completely different.

Q. Did you script the whole game?

A. I believe there are 2-3 scripts in the game that I made myself. Most of the other scripts were basic scripts that I modified to fit the game. For instance, in the game a wall opens up near midnight. To do this I found a day/night script and a door script. I modified the door to open at a certain time that appeared in the day/night script. I basically did this for every aspect in the game that I wanted to be scripted.

Q. Did you ever thought the game will gain fame?

A. Well, sort of. While building the game users would visit even though they knew it wasn't done. This had me thinking that if the game was done that it would attract more users. In the end, it did.
Though this isn't the first time I have gained fame. Back in 2009-2010 I had 2 places on the first page, and another nearing the second. They were not all popular at the same time, but it was very interesting to have my games up there. I think that maybe users could have remembered me from that time to see what I had built, but the more likely reason is just that they really like the Finding Bigfoot game.

Q. From a scale of 1 - 10, How would you rate your building skills?

A. Maybe around a 7-8 range.

Q. Did you ever meet someone that inspired you? If so, Who?

A. I have two answers to this question. If you're asking for an inspiration outside of roblox I would have to say my dad. He's actually been encouraging me to maybe work at Roblox someday. He says it's a really neat site that he wished had been around when he was a kid. Back in 2009-2010 when my places were on the front page we would create advertisements together to keep people coming back. It was a really fun time.
If you're asking for an inspiration from a roblox user, I would have to say 9voltl. He's one of my best friends in real life and got me on the website in the first place. We would hang out at each other's houses and just play roblox all day. Mostly war games like Heli-Wars, or Ultimate Paintball. Since then he has quit the site but I still remember the times we played together. 

Q. Have you ever thought of quitting ROBLOX?

A. I've never really though of actually quitting this site. I may take a break from it time to time but I always come back. I used to forum a lot on this site and when I come back from my break I normally go back to that. Now that I have a game that users tend to like I have something else to come back to. So no, I haven't thought of quitting the site.

Q. Are you an veteran? (Old ROBLOXIAN)

A. Yeah, I've been here for a while.

Dynamic Lighting - It's Here!

Dynamic LIGHTING

It is HERE!

For the past few weeks, People have been going crazy about this DYNAMIC LIGHTING. 

Well it was released today, May 9th, 2013!

How to start it?

1st. Enter ROBLOX Studio

2nd. Enter/Edit The game you want to add dynamic lighting to

3rd. click on “Lighting” in the explorer pane. Check the “Global Shadows” box

That is where it should be

How to "turn" them on?

Point lights, which emit from one specific point in the shape of a sphere, and spotlights that take the shape of a cone. Both of these lights are now objects that you can place in Studio. To find them, click Insert > Basic Objects and find either the SpotLight or PointLight objects. Each light must be parented to a part in order to work. Similar to our fire, smoke, and particle systems in general, dynamic light takes its position from the part that parents it. A great first experiment would be to take a model of a lamp (or a car, or anything that emits light really), insert the model into your world, then insert the lighting object into the model.

If you want to add lights with no objects or parts whatsoever, make the part invisible. You’ll have full control of the color, brightness and range of the lights. Point lights, for example, allow you to control the maximum distance of influence from a single light. Spotlights not only allow you to control the range of the light, but also the angle of the cone.

【Eggtraterrestrial Egg】 Some parts of the maps are filled with yellow 'facehuggers' (A usual location is inside the waterfall cave, near the teleporter). A faceugger will jump on a nearby player, infecting them and killing them. Once killed, the egg will grow out of the victim's chest (ew), which can then be collected. 

 【Egg of Duty】 This egg is usually around mountai-like areas (volcano, bridge). It will fire bullets to nearby players, instantly killing them, but also awarding the egg. 


【Wizard of the Astral Isles Egg】 
Spawns inside the Wizard tower, relatively easy to get, to get past the lightning blows press "S" 


【Eggrachnophobia Egg】  Randomly located around the map, this egg has a short time to be collected, before it will release multple spiders, destroying the egg, and possible killing any unlucky player trying to get it (?), Normally found in the cave area 


【Eggo Trip Egg】 This egg has your name on it, normally found in the houses or city 

 【Supersonic Egg】 Usually located at the volcano side. This egg will shootoff if a player approaches it pushing the player off balance and flying away. It will drop later to the grounds, where it can be picked up. Be fast, if you took too long to recover / walk to it, it will shootoff again.  

【Deviled Egg】 South of the teleports (if the real spawn is located west from the teleports) is a huge door. Once you arrive in here, you will be given a sword, and your task is to kill the boss in this cave. The boss it's attack is flying and dropping bombs on the left row, switching to middle, and then right lane. The best way to dodge this is to stand in the lowerright corner or upperleft corner. Once he dropped bombs on all 3 lanes, he will land on the central area, where you have a brief time to attack him, before he will attack again. Once practiced with his pattern, he will drop the egg once slain. 


 【Catacysmic Egg】 This egg will appear in the corner next to the road tunnel. it will occasionally release a shockwave, destroying every other egg in the map, and pushing players away (which can be dodged by holding the jump key). The volcano will also erupt, shooting deadly lava. The egg will sit still, and the cataclysm will continue until collected. If you have the time, you can wait near the tunnel for it to appear.


 【Troll Egg】 Located under the bridge above the waterfall, this little fellow is hungry, and requires 7 spam to grow up. You can collect spam from some houses in the village, but you cannot unequip it, or you will lose it. This means you have to walk all the way from the house up to the waterfall. You can only take 1 spam at the time, so be sure you have the time to do this task. Once 7 spam has been given, it can be collected. 

 【Royal Faberge Egg, Regal Dragon Faberge Egg, Dream Weaver Egg】 

These are rare eggs, they spawn randomly in the map, Normally found in the cave area and forest areas of the map, use the faberge cloner to get this. 

 【The Outrageous Egg】 Spawns when an OBC player enters the server, find him/her to get this egg 

 【The Egg of Scales】 Found in the cave area of the cave, very difficult to obtain, for more information please see this; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2Ahf-NDczo&feature=youtu.be 

【Scrambled Egg】 Unobtainable as of this point. 

 【iEgg Egg】 To get this when it is, you will have to use an iPad or iPhone to receive this egg, you may have some trouble getting it as iOs tends to be slow for ROBLOX.
